Renowned American gospel singer and minister, Donnie McClurkin, survived an accident on Wednesday in the United States, when he lost consciousness while driving.

He was in Nigeria last week for the soaraway Experience gospel concert, held at the Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos State.

The 59-year-old award-winning gospel artiste said two human angels followed his swerving car with their emergency blinkers onto stop traffic, drove behind him until the car crashed into the middle concrete island.

Sharing his testimony on his Facebook page, the grateful McClurkin said “I remember none of it except those two angels pulling me out of the passenger’s side of the crumbled totalled car, airbags deployed, crushed metal and fiberglas.”

McClurkin’s post reads: “I was in a serious accident at 12:50am this morning, passed out while driving on the highway. Totalled the car…hospitalized, going through a myriad of tests…..

“But I’m alive!!! Lost consciousness driving…but two human angels followed my swerving car with their emergency blinkers onto stop traffic ….drove behind me until my car crashed into the middle concrete island. I remember none of it except those two angels pulling me out of the passenger’s side of the crumbled totalled car..airbags deployed…crushed metal and Fiberglas!! I AM ALIVE!!!!

“Somewhat mangled, stitches on left thumb, sprained wrist, hurt knee, but I’m still here! God and two angels saved my life! I owe them… I am still here by the grace of God! Thank you, Lord…thank you!”

Many of his fans and colleagues also took to their social media handles to thank God for sparing McClurkin’s life. Gospel singer, Timothy Godfrey, wrote on his Instagram page: “Thank you Jesus for divine protection over the life of our dearly Beloved servant of God.

“The Blood still works!! God’s covenant is that you will live and not die!! You have so much ahead to accomplish for the kingdom! I pray for speedy recovery in Jesus name! The same power that kept you will keep you and heal you completely.”
