Plans are afoot for the deployment of members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Cross River State to agriculture, infrastructure and tourism sectors in the state in order to boost its socio-economic development.

Plans are afoot for the deployment of members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Cross River State to agriculture, infrastructure and tourism sectors in the state in order to boost its socio-economic development.

Governor Ben Ayade, who made the disclosure during the passing out ceremony of the 2016 Batch “A” Corps members said the decision was premised on the fact that youths possess the potency needed for nation building and economic transformation.

Therefore, members of the scheme that are to be deployed to the identified sector are expected to come up with ideas that would help create employment in the state and boost the revenue base of the state.

He called on owners of companies, industries and well-meaning establishments in the State to employ the services of corps members for the growth of the economy.
