QS, the global higher education ratings index, has given Coventry University a range of awards that include being rated 5/5 in three of the QS Stars assessment categories.

They also named Coventry as the 39th best student city in the world, and 5th best in the UK.

The QS Stars Awards gave the University the full complement of five stars in the teaching, employability, internationalisation and facilities.

This highlights its strengths in the areas of student satisfaction, graduate prospects and global collaborations and diversity.

Ian Dunn, deputy vice-chancellor for student experience, said: “The experience and satisfaction of our students, both whilst they are studying and as graduates is at the heart of all we do. We are very proud of the highly employable young people we are able to send into the workforce, fully equipped to take on the challenges ahead.”

Coventry’s five star performance for internationalisation was achieved by being able to demonstrate dedication to international students, with maximum points received in the five areas of international collaboration, international faculty, international students, religious facilities and international diversity.

The report concluded that teaching was one of Coventry’s strongest categories, with students reporting a high level of satisfaction, both with teaching and in their overall experience. Satisfaction is also high after graduation with full points scored for the graduate employment rate and the university’s career service.
