Coscharis Group and Jumia Nigeria have handed over Ford Figo car to the winner of Jumia Black Friday promo.

Coscharis Group and Jumia Nigeria have handed over Ford Figo car to the winner of Jumia Black Friday promo.

Having bought two Playstation games on Jumia online platform during the promo, which ran between November 13 and December 13, 2017, a National Youth Service Corps member serving in Lagos, Clinton Nnajiaku, emerged as the winner of the Ford Figo car.

Speaking during the formal presentation of the car to the winner in Lagos, Head of Engagement Marketing at Jumia Nigeria, Ojuola Asuquo, said the winner was selected from 70,000 entries using an online randomiser on December 15.

According to her, the two organisations came up with a grand plan to give away a Ford car to customers who spent above N5,000.

General Manager, Marketing and Corporate Communications, Coscharis Group, Abiona Babarinde, said Nnajiaku would also enjoy after-sales services as part of the car giveaway.

He said, “Coscharis Motors is excited to have partnered with Jumia to deliver this wonderful year 2017 Black Friday Sales promo. As I said at the media launch of the promo, we will always seek new ways to delight our customers and give them value for their money, no matter the platform on which they wish to patronise us, online or offline. Jumia’s online platform has really helped us to fulfil that desire.”

He described the Figo as the perfect introduction to the global Ford family of cars, adding, “This stylish, versatile, five-door, five-seat hatchback comes with all the advanced engine technology, innovative features and impeccable build quality that you would expect to find in one of our larger cars – in a smaller, more affordable design. So if you’re looking for a new small car, then think big, think Ford, think Figo.”

According to him, the promo was met with massive patronage despite disappointment Nigerians have faced with companies that fail to deliver on their promise in the past.

Head of Partnerships, Jumia Nigeria, Omolara Ajele, said beyond the Black Friday, the two organisations would maintain a long-term partnership, including the retailing of Coscharis products on Jumia online platform.

She added, “We have seen more people shop online because of the raffle draw. We are having a long-term partnership and as from next year, we will retail Coscharis products on Jumia.”
