Carxie, a Nigerian cab operator, which rides on technology to deliver services, has concluded plans for its launch in the country, with Lagos as first point of call.

With the unveiling scheduled for tomorrow, the firm said it would also unveil an app targeted at simplifying its operations in the country.

Carxie is a mobile taxi booking app developed in Nigeria with foreign collaboration. It is a brand new innovation from Dukan George Limited. It is a platform to connect riders to drivers using a comfortable, secure, safe and affordable platform.

Speaking at a meeting with the cab operators in Lagos, Chairman CarXie, Chinedu Amadi explained that it was necessary for the company and its cab operators to bond ahead of the launch to ensure a smooth kick-start upon operation.

Amadi said CarXie is a bold statement that Nigerians are capable of conceptualizing sustainable innovations stating that the company standards must be part of acceptable global standards.

He said there would be no compromise on the quest to achieve comfort, safety, and save time for the rider at affordable costs. The cab owners and drivers play a central role in this project. Whereas the cab owner provides the cab, it is the driver who is the only physical contact with the rider.

According to him there is no room for rickety smoking cars, which waste the time of the rider with a breakdown on highways. The driver complements the high quality of the cab with professional conduct – the driver must be courteous, humble, not talkative, clean and alert.

Amadi assured the cab owners and drivers that up to date tracking and chatting technology have been deployed to make the cars secure against car snatchers and the riders safe from kidnappers. Moreover, every rider is traceable with his BVN.
