Brotherhood honours 10 retirees with special prayers

National Headquarters of Islamic Brotherhood of Nigeria (ISBON) has organized a successful prayer session to honour its members who recently retired from public service and have achieved some landmark achievements in life.

The famous Islamic society with branches across Nigeria called forth ten of its top members to stand among the gathering of the saints for strategic special prayers in-line with the society’s enduring legacy to give honour to who is due and also to promote members spiritual development.

Those honoured at the Abuja event include Alhaji Abdulraman Akanni Adeyeri, Former Director (Navy) Ministry of Defense, Ambassador Babatunde Ayinla Nurudeen, Former Director (African Multilateral Affairs), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Alhaji Abdullahi Hussain, Former Acting Conservator General, National Park Service, (NPS), Alhaji Abdulazeez Zab, Former Deputy Director, Universal Basic Education Board, Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), Alhaji Abdulraham Adesola Subair, Former Senior Executive Officer, Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment.

Other recipients are Mallam Omotayo Yakubu, Former Chief Driver, State House, Abuja, Alhaja Olayinka Sefinat Audu, Former Principal Confidential Secretary II, Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), Alhaja Serifat Babatunde, Former Confidential Secretary I, Federal Ministry of Environment, Alhaji Jimoh Rufai and Hajai Monsurat Olagunju.

Chairman of the planning committee, Alhaji Tawheed Akinwande disclosed that ISBON appreciates the work of God in the life throughout their public service to Nigeria hence the special prayers to petition God for continued protection and blessings in their future endeavours.

The National chairman of the society, khalifah Mansur Abdul-Hamid Ejide in his remarks at occasion explained that the deliberate gathering of retirees of different office grades and levels of leadership brings to bear the practical teaching of the concept of equality and brotherhood as taught in Islam, noting his deep personal appreciation to those who contributed to the overall success of the prayer program.
