Ansar –Ud- Deen commissions entreprenuership development centre
Ansar –Ud- Deen Society of Nigeria, Lagos Branch has charged Nigeria Students to develop interest in entrepreneurship programmes in order to be well equipped for the future.
The group handed over a Multi-Million Naira Entrepreneurship Development Centre to Summit University, Offa, Kwara State to provide vocational education and technical skills to the students.
During the commissioning of the center,the National President of Ansar-ud-deen Society of Nigeria, Dr. AbdulRafiu Ademola Sanni stressed the importance of entrepreneurship programmes to the eradication of unemployment of Nigerian graduates in the labour market, noting that with the programmes most of the graduates would be employer of labour and crashing the unemployment rate down drastically.
He added that without entrepreneurship programmes in our higher institutions curriculum the University education would be in complete; stressing that Summit University was designed to produce graduates with high academic standards, morals and future employer of labour.
The Chairman, Governing Council of the University, Mr. Rotimi Oyekan urged all stakeholders of the University to have unity of purpose and dedicate themselves to the development of the institution, emphasizing the need to imbibe society’s values of morals and importance of education to all students of the institution.
The University Vice Chancellor, Professor Hussein Oloyede in his welcome address assured the parents and proprietor of the University that the institution would not compromise standards, quality and morals of all students throughout the period of studies in the institution and urge parents to complement the efforts of the institution in order to have a robust education.
The Chairman of Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria, Lagos Branch, Alhaji Kamorudeen Salami noted the branch would be committed to the ideals of Summit University and also strive to ensure that contributions to the development of the university financially and physically.
