Anointing-1

At some point in our lives, all of us will encounter a problem that has to be defeated, even if it is only an attitude problem. A lot of people have problems, but rather than deal with them, they choose to act as if the problems do not exist. But ignoring the facts does not mean they do not exist and sooner or later, if these problems are not dealt with, they will deal with the people. If you have got to the point, where you accept something wrong as part of your life, you are walking on a very dangerous path. The little things you ignore could be the reasons behind your current failures and these are the same things that Satan will use to lead you to hell fire. It is very important, therefore, that you cry out to God fervently to remove these wrong things from your life.

In Job 1:6-22 and Genesis 37:5-8, 19-36, we are told of the calamities that befell Job and Joseph respectively. In Job’s case, he lost all his possessions and his children within a very short space of time. Joseph was sold into slavery by his own brothers, who were jealous of him. They both suffered major attacks from the hands of the enemy; enough to defeat them for life, some might say. In the end, however, both men ended up defeating their defeat. Micah 7: 8 states, “Do not rejoice over me my enemy; when I fall, I will arise; when I sit in darkness the Lord will be a light to me.” This passage is a personal decision by someone, who has made up his mind not to fail and not to agree with defeat.

If you want to be successful in life, you have to follow the examples of those that came before you. Someone somewhere had been through the problems you may be going through presently, and he came through it victorious. You too can emerge from the situation victorious, if you learn from the strategies adopted by those who successfully went through similar problems. This does not mean that you go about telling people your problems in a bid to find someone who has gone through the same thing.

Instead, you should turn to the Bible, because no matter what you may be going through, you will find a situation that is similar or exactly the same in God’s word.

In Mark 9: 29, Jesus told His disciples that there are certain types of demons that can only come out by prayer and fasting. The strategy for obtaining deliverance, therefore, is to pray and fast in the same way that the strategy for financial increase is giving and the strategy for protecting your income from the devourer is to pay your tithes.

In Joshua 1: 1-8, the Lord told Joshua He was going to fulfil the covenant He had made with Joshua’s forefathers, and that He was going to take the children of Israel to their Promised Land. In verse 8, the Lord said to Joshua, “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” The Lord was telling Joshua that just because the children of Israel were entering their Promised Land did not mean they would no longer have any difficulties. He advised him, however, that whenever they encountered any problems, all they needed to do was go back to His word for instructions. This was the only way they would be successful in life.
