Ambode promises sustainable devt
LAGOS State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, has promised sustainable economic development through ICT and infrastructure development. This hint was dropped by the Commissioner for Information & Strategy, Mr. Steve Ayorinde, at a cocktail hosted in his honor by the Creative Entrepreneurs Association of Nigeria (CEAN).
Ayorinde noted that Ambode was concerned about economic development, which entails wealth creation through employment for the people and infrastructure development, where government intends to partner with the private sector for greater impact in transportation, housing and ICT. The commissioner added the governor would take into account the generation of pollution that comes with economic growth and the vulnerability of a low-lying coastal region like Lagos, with massive investment in health, education and security.
Ayorinde thanked members for the honour and promised that he would be a worthy ambassador of the association. Wale Ewedemi, President of CEAN, thanked the governor for appointing Ayorinde as commissioner.
