Ambode commissions LAMATA’s Mile 12 to Ikorodu BRT Extension
THE Lagos State Government will officially commission the World Bank-assisted Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Extension from Mile 12 to Ikorodu for operation today. The commission will see an increase in high capacity buses by 434 new buses, which will also be flagged off for operation.
In a statement from the promoters of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Extension project, the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) yesterday, Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode would launch the BRT project at 10.00 a.m.
The project included widening of the road with two additional lanes and the placing of BRT lanes in the middle of the road. Over 400,000 passengers would be carried daily by 434 high capacity air-conditioned buses that have been prepared to run the corridor from Ikorodu – CMS via Mile 12.

Its fashola project and not all brt are allowed on the brt lane which is really stupid
