Al-Mu’minat proffers solution to nation’s various challenges

In effort to eradicate corruption, the woman folk have a major role to play in rescuing Nigeria from endemic role of corruption in the country, the Al-Mu’minat has said. The Coordinator of The Professionals (a wing of Al’Mu’Minaat), Hajia Abdul Hamid Oyinlade Jelilat during the professional forum held recently in Lagos said Islam has provided solutions to the nation’s challenges irrespective of the form, nature and type. Islam is perfect in all ramifications and thus all challenges faced by men are known to Allah and has provided adequate solution for them.

Hajia jelilat encouraged Muslims to stand up to their daily challenges, be courageous and pray to Allah for a successful engagement. She enjoined Muslim sisters to recognize their right according to the sharia of Allah and be upright as a nation builder.

Coordinator, Hijab Right Advocacy Initiative, Barr. Mutiat Orolu Balogun, said the bedrock of problems we are facing is justice and fairness. “ If people uphold the position of the constitution and are just to one another, corruption will be reduced to the barest minimum. It is lack of justice and fairness that give room to a lot of social vices in the society. If there is justice people know that whatever right they are meant to give to others they will give it to the person.”

Balogun reiterated the need for women to go back to the basiC saying, “they are not necessarily equal to the men, they are the same spiritually but different in our God given role, we compliment each other and women have special role that is only women are able to play. That does not mean women should not work but women should know that their primary responsibilities is to nurture the society in lieu of any career they are into.

“Woman should be contented in whatever their husband gets legally and not support their husband in any act of illegality of acquiring wealth in order to live a lustrous lifestyle”.

She urged the government to put into practice what the constitution say especially in chapter two of the constitution. “We wont be talking about corruption when basic needs are not met, when people know that when they work they will get their pension, when they go to hospital they are being take care.
