Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State has commissioned a radio station at Rufus Giwa Polytechnic (RUGIPO), where he also laid a foundation for an ultra-modern hostel.

Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State has commissioned a radio station at Rufus Giwa Polytechnic (RUGIPO), where he also laid a foundation for an ultra-modern hostel.

Akeredolu at the unveiling of the station on 101.3FM commended the institution’s governing council for the feat and restated his administration’s commitment to the development of education in the state.

‘’Let me note the efforts of the council, except if we don’t want to be honest with ourselves, the set of people who are in this governing council are the best so far.

“ They are good because Alabi himself attended this school, so he must come back to his alma mata. He has always shown that he has a passion for this polytechnic. I want to congratulate you and your members for the great work you are doing. Ever since the school was established, no Chairman has performed as you have done. Your commitment to the success of this citadel of learning is great.”

“I want to commend you, members of the governing council, the school management and the entire students for this great feat.”

Alabi on his part said, “From all of us in this polytechnic community, we say a big thank you. We also assure you of our continued commitment to the growth, progress, and success of this school. We will not relent in our collective efforts.”

The rector of the institution, Mr. Ogundahunsi Gani Adebola, appreciated the governor for his support, adding that many projects are still in offing.
