Ahmadiyya tasks Lagos commissioners on good performance

lagos-mosqueThe Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat, Lagos state, has urged the new Commissioners and Special Advisers in Lagos State to hit the ground running and ensure that Lagosians feel their impact in the laudable programmes and policies to be embarked upon by the government.

Meanwhile, the group also congratulated the Lagos state Commissioner for Home Affairs, Alhaji Abdul Lateef Abdul Kareem on his appointment.

The Islamic organisation applauded this choice sequel to the remarkable performance of the Alhaji Abdul Lateef as a member of the Lagos State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board in couples of years now.

According to some of the members of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat who have performed Hajj through Lagos state government, there has been remarkable improvement in the entire hajj operations in the state with the leading role of the new Commissioner for Home Affairs.

The organisation challenged him to improve on the standards of record of performance in the ministry and appreciate the gesture of the Lagos state government of putting the round peck in the round hole.

It reminded the new public office holders that they should live above boards, shun corruption and be transparent in the discharge of their duties.

According to the members of the Jamaat “to whom much is given, much is expected”.

The Ahmadiyya group therefore expressed its determination to assist the government in the propagating its policies among its members and also assist in fervent prayers in the deliverance of public good for the people of the state.
