Crown Flour Mills Limited, makers of Mama Gold Flour has disclosed plans to launch a new technology ‘Bakers App’ for industry stakeholders, especially bakers to improve their productivity and enhance the quality of the product across the country.

Managing Director, Olam Grains Nigeria, Mr. Anurag Shukla, who revealed this in Lagos, during the naming of Lagos State Chairman, Association of Master Bakers and Caterers of Nigeria (AMBCN), Alhaji Raji Omotunde as the brand ambassador for Mama Gold Flour, said the initiative will be unveiled in July.

Represented by the Deputy Managing Director of the company, Rohit Chugh, Shukla said the app is a step further to ensure global best practices, as it remains the meeting point for all bakers, dealers and others to connect and engage the firm on its products.

“We all know digital technology is the way to go. All bakers will just have to download the app on their phones and connect with the company much faster to take the Mama Gold Flour to the next level.

“Innovation and technology is the main thing to change the future, to make their business more profitable. With this, bakers can directly engage with the company,” Shukla said.

Vice President, Commercial, Crown Flour Mills, Mr. Bolaji Anifowose, said the choice of Omotunde was to promote the brand, just as the firm had been looking for ways to better connect with bakers and the opportunity presented itself with his selection.

He said: “The event today will create a platform to relate with bakers and to personify the brand in the ambassador. Omotunde has shown tremendous support for the brand in over 20 years. It is a well-deserved honour.”

In his speech, National President of AMBCN, Sir Dominic Daniels, commended the company for maintaining and strengthening a cordial relationship with bakers.Daniels, who was represented by Alhaji Kabir Hassan, said the association would also like to encourage the firm to continue a good price regime and maintain the quality of the Mama Gold Flour.

In his acceptance speech, the brand ambassador, Omotunde said he was delighted to have been honoured with the duty.
He urged bakers to continue to use Mama Gold Flour and pledged on behalf of the association to promote the company’s products.The peak of the event was presentation of awards to some outstanding bakers.
