No fewer than 7,000 vulnerable households recently benefited from varieties of food packs donated by Sheri Care Foundation (SCARF).

SCARF’s President, Alhaja Sherifah Aregbesola, said the non-governmental organisation (NGO) was out to ease the burden of vulnerable households.

The foundation, she said, decided to provide food packs to reduce the burden on the economically distressed Nigerians during the Coronavirus-induced lockdown.

The food items per household include semolina, wheat, packs of macaroni, spaghetti and noodles.

Alhaja Aregbesola said her family members sponsored the first round of distribution for 3,000 beneficiaries.
“They were not prepared for the impact of this pandemic; we saw it as an opportunity for the privileged to support the needy. They deserve our support to weather these very hard times. SCARF will look forward to supporting more communities and households across the country, riding on donations from privileged and compassionate Nigerians,” she said.

Aregbesola thanked those who have donated so far, saying: “Together we can support more vulnerable communities and households across the country.”
