Techno Oil extols Nnadi’s virtues

APPARENTLY thrown into grief moment by the demise of its Chairman, Techno Oil Limited has applauded the indelible footprint of Late Dr. John Nnadi, to the rising profile of the indigenous company.

  The Executive Vice-Chairman of Techno Oil, Mrs. Nkechi Obi, in a statement mave available to The Guardian, described Nnadi as a father and mentor, who showed the light for Techno Oil to braze the trail in the downstream sector.

   According to her:  “Nnadi was a veteran of the oil and gas industry operator and his contributions to the growth of Techno Oil over the years has been inestimable. He always had a welcome constructive word of advice. We know he will be greatly missed by all who know him.”

   “Our hearts and thoughts are with the Nnadi family at this difficult time,”’’ Obi stated.

  Nnadi, the formerChairman, Board of Directors Techno Oil died on Dec. 17, 2014. 

   Nnadi, 76, was the pioneer chairman of Techno Oil, and he would be remembered for his innovative ideas in nurturing the company from start-up to a mega-establishment.

  Techno Oil under his watch recorded outstanding successes that have seen the company diversify into other businesses, including lubricant manufacturing, power and mass housing delivery.

  The late Nnadi had his early education in Nigeria and later proceeded to the U.S. where he had a distinguished academic record, crowning it with doctorate degree.

   He started his working career at the Mobil Oil Research Laboratory Centre in Paulsboro, U.S., where he distinguished himself with 20 patents and 15 scientific publications.

   Nnadi, thereafter, returned to Nigeria to work for Mobil Oil Plc., retiring as the director of marketing of the company.

  He join Techno Oil, at the early stage when the company had just commenced business in a small office, dealing solely in lubricant marketing.

  The company, under his leadership rose fast to surprise Nigerians with its remarkable success, transforming into a multi-billion-naira investment in the downstream.

   “Nnadi would be remembered for his is lofty dreams for Techno Oil, including his desire to steer the company to enter strategic alliance with international companies on exploration and production,” Obi said.
