Aba Integrated Power ProjectTE Connectivity (TE) has signed a partnership with the National Power Training Institute of Nigeria (NAPTIN) with a goal to provide critical expertise and workforce training essential for the country’s power sector.

As part of the arrangement, TE experts will work with NAPTIN’s trainers and provide technical training on the connectivity required to enable power systems.

The training will be based on TE’s high-quality products and solutions including the industry-leading Raychem product line. Once complete, NAPTIN will organize training sessions at its facilities for local installers.

Head of the TE Energy Project in Nigeria, Ronnie Fotheringham, stated: “As the government of Nigeria invests in upgrading and expanding the power network, the country also needs to invest in its people – developing the skills and expertise required to develop and maintain that network.’’

He added, “The partnership with NAPTIN is a significant step in that direction. It furthers the mission by bringing the proven solutions, technical know-how and broad application experience to NAPTIN and those being trained.
