Royal Niger, Viper sign subsea electrical integrity management agreement

Royal Niger Emerging Technologies Limited, and its technology partner, Viper Innovations Limited, have developed a solution for the Nigerian market, which is targeted at reducing maintenance costs for subsea electrical equipment maintenance and electrical integrity in the upstream segment of the petroleum industry. 
  
Unveiling the subsea solution to stakeholders in Lagos, Viper Innovations expressed excitement at the opportunities presented by its distributor agreement with Royal Niger Emerging Technologies.
   
The Managing Director, Viper Innovations, Neil Douglas, said: “We see Nigeria as one of the growing areas and there is a lot of business opportunities if leading-edge technology be developed with some local content element.

We are all looking forward to the future with not only Viper and Royal Niger benefiting from the collaboration but also our clients gaining from bespoke technologies to extend field life and reduce operational costs.”

The event was well attended by the officials of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, industry majors and their deepwater operations teams. 

After technical sessions and robust exchange of ideas, participants were convinced the technology would guarantee long-term integrity management of subsea electrical systems and controls.
