Energy institute backs offshore oil forum
The Energy Institute Nigeria has confirmed a strategic partnership with Offshore West Africa Conference and Exhibition, owned and produced by PennWell Corporation, for the upcoming 20th anniversary edition, including the implementation of a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Programme as part of the overall conference.
Taking place on 26‐28 January 2016 at the Eko Hotel & Suites, Lagos, Nigeria, the 20th yearly Offshore West Africa will build on the success of the 2015 event, which also took place in Lagos, which attracted a record breaking international audience of almost 2,400 leading oil and gas industry professionals from more than 30 countries worldwide.
As the premier technical forum for the West African offshore oil and gas exploration and production industry, Offshore West Africa is pleased to announce this alliance once again for 2016 with the Energy Institute. Further enhancing PennWell’s plans for Corporate Social Responsibility, alongside planned Youth Programmes, the announced addition of a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme once again shows the events commitment to leaving a legacy within its host country.
Managing Director, Energy Institute Nigeria, Yewande Abiose, said: “With the remarkable success of 2015 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Programme for Young Professionals, Energy Institute Nigeria is excited to be collaborating with PennWell for the upcoming 20th anniversary edition. The CPD Programme which is an initiate of PennWell & Lonadek supported by the Energy Institute has helped over 60 young professionals gain adequate industry exposure, knowledge and development through bespoke trainings, key industry event and mentorship.”
