Wapic Insurance Plc has launched innovative travel insurance product designed to cover travelers against unforeseen incidents and hazards associated with international traveling.

The innovative product, according to the company, offers compensation for in-flight loss of checked-in luggage, delay of flight and delay of luggage and payment of medical assistance for illness or accident sustained while traveling.

It also covers transport or repatriation for medical reasons for the insured and/or family members traveling with the insured.

Other benefits for the offering include accidental death cover and provide transport or repatriation of moral remains of insured, and Emergency return home following the death of a case family member.

At the launch, the company said the initiative has come after an extensive period of a detailed review of consumer-detriment issues in travel insurance, and the product, released as the best possible action to ensure better consumer protection during travel.

The Chief Executive Officer, Yinka Adekoya, said: “Wapic ceaselessly explores opportunities to improve our customer experience offerings to the public and to continually address the needs of our customers.
