Unity Bank’s product to deepen electronic transactions

Unity Bank has launched an electronic product tagged Unity1 Account that puts customers in charge of their banking experience, offering greater convenience and interactivity for online account opening with minimal documentation.

Unity Bank has launched an electronic product tagged Unity1 Account that puts customers in charge of their banking experience, offering greater convenience and interactivity for online account opening with minimal documentation.

With this, customers are able to open their bank accounts and carry out transactions instantly, from anywhere in the world, but requires virtual documentation (name, phone number, passport photograph, address and the customer’s BVN) as a means of authenticating the customer’s identity.

The Group Head, e- Business of Unity Bank, Benedict Anyalenkeya, described Unity1 Account as ‘‘banking simplified’’ and “the game changer  in electronic and digital banking which harnesses the potentials of the online space in driving financial inclusion while also addressing personal banking needs of Nigerians from all walks of life”.

It is accessible online through the bank’s website and other social media platforms’ with its debit card becoming active instantly on mobile and internet banking platforms, as well as certain degree of discounts at designated merchant locations.

With the account, customers can make a maximum single deposit of N100, 000 per day and a maximum cumulative balance of N400, 000 in the account, while holders will transact with their mobile phones up to a daily limit of N30,000.
