No fewer than 20 businesses have been sealed-off in Ekiti State by the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) for offences ranging from non-possession of standardisation certificates and poor quality products.
Ekiti State Head of SON, Mr. Ayeni Feyisayo, who disclosed this in Ado-Ekiti yesterday at a sensitisation seminar to mark this year’s World Standard Day, said that over 100 more enterprises are currently under close monitoring of the agency that may be sanctioned anytime if they failed to turn over a new leaf.
