‘Osinbajo’s visit to Kogi would open up viable enterprises’

jo to Kogi State would open up opportunities for viable enterprises to spring up.

Speaking on behalf of the Vice President during the MSME Clinics plenary session on Monday, he said businesses would also know that the Federal Government is seeing what they are doing, and would support all MSME in Kogi as best as it can.

Johnson noted that there are lots of Government interventions that they may not be aware of, which they can take advantage of to expand their business opportunities.

“The essence of the visit of the Vice President is to come and see the share potential that the State has in the MSME.

“When the Governor asked for the clinics in the State, he assured his Excellency that he would be marveled with the potential in terms of businesses that he would meet on ground. So the VP is coming to see what is there on ground in Kogi.”

Johnson indicated that whenever the businesses needed help the Vice President is going to give directives to those agencies in Kogi to offer assistance as best as it can.

Noting that Osinbajo will attend the Kogi State Economic and Investment Summit, however, he said the primary reason for his coming is to launch the National MSME Clinic.

The Senior Special Assistant on N-Power programmes to the Vice President, Afolabi Mokwede, assured that there would be no problem with the sustainability of the Federal Government’s Social Investment programmes.

He said since Nigeria is in the youthful age with about 70% of the population are below the age of 35, for that reason every administration would really consider social investment as a priority.

“Though every administration has its own priorities and focus, however, what I can tell you is that there is no administration that would come in the next few years that would not make youth employment, youth entrepreneurship a topmost priority.

“Let us also reckon that the way we have run this programme is in such a way that constituted authority, the institution of Government remains.
