Well said; the govt should focus on setting up the right environments that encourages all players to play. We’re too accustomed to the ‘brute force’ approach and what that only does is provide short term benefits at best and long term disasters at worst. Obviously, politicians favor this approach because they are too tenure-minded; Why would they invest in long term initiatives whose benefits will not be realized during their tenures in office? But perhaps things are changing because the harder things get the fewer the options and decisions we have.
