Firm designs mobile app to ease shareholders’ registration process, others

Poised to continue to enhance service delivery to investors in the nation’s capital market, First Registrars has designed the first Mobile App in the share registration industry

At the unveiling ceremony of the App, in Lagos, at the weekend, the Managing Director/CEO, Bayo Olugbemi, said with the Mobile App, shareholders and investors now have instant and unlimited access to their shareholdings, and other related information about their shares, dividends, bank mandates among other services under the purview of First Registrars.

“First Registrars has committed a significant investment in the development of the mobile app which now brings the register of members to the fingertips of the shareholders/investors. Shareholders can access their share transactions, dividends information, bank mandates, address confirmation and even pre-register for AGMs/EGMs and lots more,” He said.

The Group Head, Business Development and Services, First Registrars, Abayomi Oluwato, assured investors that the firm would continue to invest in human capital and technological innovation to enable it stay ahead of trends in the industry.

First Registrars Mobile App undoubtedly will enhance our customers’ experience and at no fee as the Mobile App is absolutely free.

“We are in a digital age and we must continually take our products and services to the customers wherever they may be rather than wait for the customers to come down to our office before getting their queries resolved.”

He noted that a security measure has also been factored into the development of the app such that an OTP is sent to the shareholders’ mobile phone number (phone number must have been registered with First Registrars) at the point of registration, which then serves as the login PIN.

“To Download the App, simply visit the Google Playstore (app will be available for IOS shortly) and search for First Registrars, the icon of the app is the First Registrars logo. Click on install,” he added.
