Mamador, NHF partner to promote healthy heart habits

Cooking oil brand, Mamador, has joined hands with Nigerian Heart Foundation (NHF) to promote healthy heart habits among Nigerians.

The partnership will ensure that the brand actively supports the Nigerian Heart Foundation’s vision to propagate awareness for healthy heart habits amongst Nigerians through the National Heart Awareness Campaign.

This campaign accords with the ongoing Mamador Million Hearts Mission, which was launched in August 2016. The Million Hearts Mission is a campaign that seeks to reach and sensitise millions of consumers on the importance of a healthy heart, and has since engaged over 200,000 consumers via its free BP and BMI checks while also sharing healthy recipes and tips on the importance of heart health.

Speaking at a press conference to launch the National Heart Awareness Campaign, Category Marketing Manager, Mamador, Chioma Mbanugo emphasised the brand’s interest in the wellbeing of consumers.

According to her, there is a need to give high priority to the care of the body especially the heart because of its centrality.

In her words, ‘Mamador brand supports healthy heart habits and we are committed to the well-being of consumers. This has been evident in the campaigns we have embarked upon these past years, especially since the brand received the Nigerian Heart Foundation endorsement. Our decision to support the foundation on a cause as noble as this underscores the brand’s genuine interest and we couldn’t be more fulfilled for it’.

The Marketing Director, PZ Wilmar, Kalyan Bandyopadhyay further stressed that the decision to support NHF’s quest along with the ongoing Million Hearts Mission campaign is to further reiterate the brand’s commitment to help consumers make healthier choices.
‘Mamador’s passion for the well-being of consumers is the reason we go the extra mile to launch and support campaigns that are beneficial to them.

The ongoing Mamador Million Heart Mission aims at providing consumers with heart healthy recipes that can be available locally for consumers to enjoy their foods without worries as well as daily healthy lifestyle tips that can be adopted in our everyday lives. After Mamador got the NHF endorsement last year we promised that we will work closely with the foundation to promote our cause for a healthy heart and this new partnership is in keeping with that commitment,” he said.

The Executive Director of the Nigerian Heart Foundation (NHF), Dr. Kingsley Akinroye commended the brand for teaming up with the foundation adding that such partnerships are beneficial to the populace. He added that one of the ways to reduce heart disease is consuming the right type of cooking oil and highly recommends Mamador Oil considering that it has the NHF endorsement.
