Keystone Bank Limited through its Pink Network initiative, organised a capacity building workshop tagged: “The Accelerate Business Seminar”, in furtherance of its commitment to empower female entrepreneurs across the country.

The Pink Network is an online platform to learn, get mentorship, share business ideas and interact.

The one-day seminar- the second edition, was held at the bank’s Learning Academy, Lagos in partnership with Enterprise Development Centre (EDC), Fate Foundation, Junior Achievers Nigeria, SME100 and Trans Royal Couriers.

At the event, business professionals took participants through series of discussions on how to access finance and borrow sensibly, thriving in business in the 21st century using the internet, identifying and reaching target market, implementing an effective delivery system, among other issues.

The Group Managing Diurector and Chief Executive Officer, Obeahon Ohiwerei, said: “Keystone Bank Limited has creatively set up this platform to cater for the dreams and aspirations of women SMEs and the professional working class women.

“As a financial institution, we understand the importance of women in building a robust economy, but lack of access to entrepreneurial skills, finance, networking, and management skills pose a major setback to women’s economic inclusion. Hence, we took the bold step to provide solution to these challenges.”

Meanwhile, Fidelity Bank Plc has rewarded its loyal customers with N19 million at the second draw of its Get Alerts in Millions Promo Reloaded, which was designed to enrich esteem customers and encourage them to continue banking with the brand.

The draw, which took place at the Admiralty Way branch of the bank in Lekki, raised the financial status of thirteen customers of the bank who emerged cash winners, with some winning N1 million, N2 million and a the star prize of N3 million.

The Deputy General Manager and Regional Bank Head, Victoria Island, Chinwe Iloghalu, while speaking to the press, noted that the reason for the promo was to drive financial inclusion thereby reaching out to Nigerians that are still unbanked.

She maintained that the promo was one of the ways to encourage flow of money into the banking sector by getting people to bring their money into the bank and also appreciate them as well.

“We are following the CBN’s directives for financial inclusion as over 60 percent of Nigerians are unbanked and that means that we still have a lot of people that don’t have financial services getting to them.

“This is our way of empowering our customers by enabling them meet their financial needs. We have great testimonials about how all these monies are judiciously used. We are changing lives by empowering people to become better business owners and we are bringing smiles to people across the nation.

“We are also using this medium to appreciate our customers because there is no institution that will thrive without a customer base. No matter what industry you are in or product and services you are offering, you need the customers to drive your business.

“We love our customers and we are giving back to them to show them that they are special and they mean a lot to us,” she said.

Also speaking, the Promo Manager, Janet Nnabuko, noted that the promo was for both old and new customers and consists of monthly draws, bi-monthly draws and bi-monthly grand prize draw, running through April 2018.

“To be eligible participate in the monthly draws, you should have an existing savings account and top it up with 10 thousand naira every month and for the bi-monthly draws, you have to maintain a minimum of 50 thousand naira every month to participate.
