Four-in-One exhibition to attract over $30 billion FDIs to Nigeria

Organizers of a four-in-one exhibition, Elan Expo have stated that its trade expo scheduled to hold in July, is expected to attract over $30 billion fresh Foreign Direct Investments (FDIs) into the Nigerian economy.

Organizers of a four-in-one exhibition, Elan Expo have stated that its trade expo scheduled to hold in July, is expected to attract over $30 billion fresh Foreign Direct Investments (FDIs) into the Nigerian economy.

The organizers added the fair, slated for 13-15th July, 2017 at the Landmark Event Centre in Lagos, would expose the targeted sectors to the global economy, adding that these sectors have continued to show growth potential in the continent.

Already, the organisers stated many foreign companies have begun to show interest in setting up factories to go into large scale manufacturing and distribution, following the success recorded at last year’s event.

The General Manager, Elan Expo, Nihat Suer, explained that the sectors expected to be covered include Heating, Refrigerating, Air conditioning (HVAC), furniture, home textile, house wares, beauty, hygiene, cosmetics and food, agriculture and technologies.

Suer at a press briefing to announce the exhibition, pointed out that the trade show would give opportunities for local exhibitors to interact and create international partners seeking business opportunities, saying that Nigeria remains the gateway to the wider area of West Africa.

“We are aiming to reach a wider region of neighbouring Nigerian countries because we believe Nigeria is a logistic hub.

“More than 50 per cent of foreign companies that participated last year have started showing interest to investing in Nigeria and we believe with effective partnerships going forward, the percentage would increase,” he said.

Also speaking at the event, the project coordinator, Jude Chime, commended the present administration’s effort in creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive in the country, saying that this is a step in a right direction to attract FDIs into the country.

He said the event is expected attract exhibitors from different countries and visitors from not only Nigeria but also other countries
in Africa and the world.

“This important event gives opportunity to see latest developments, trends, and technologies in the sectors, all over the world with different exhibitors from U.S.A to Germany, China, India, Switzerland and many more.  Participating companies, with our platform can reach wholesalers, dealers etc. to present their products and make businesspartnership agreement,” he said.
