Jayne, icon of real estate bags The Sun Investor of the Year Award

The icon of real estate in the country and co-founder and General Managing Director, Property World Africa Network (PWAN) Group, Dr. Jayne Onwumere, has bagged The SUN 2023 investor of the year Award.

The award which recognised eminent Nigerians in different categories saw Jayne emerging winner alongside Christopher Ndubuisi, Chairman, Pinnatech Group and Dr. Oludare Akande, Chairman, Bellagio Airlines Limited.

The award recognised her resourcefulness to transform her business into a brand where she oversees a team of 52 managing directors and more than 1000 full time staff spread across 52 affiliate companies, while using her brand to streamline home ownership in the country.

Under her watch, PWAN Group founded a sister company called Folkland Property Development company, which is the construction arm of the group. This company is responsible for all the project works in all estates owned by PWAN nationwide and beyond. This bold move has no precedence in the history of real estate business in Nigeria.

As a group, the real estate company has sold out over 30,000 plots of land in their various estates within the Ibeju Lekki axis of Lagos and other parts of Nigeria. Also, the company acquired, developed and sold out more than 100 estates, especially in the Ibeju Lekki axis and other locations.

As a formidable player in the sector, PWAN Group offers property such as land and luxury apartments for sale to prospective and existing clients. These property project a high level of probability for appreciation in value and the ability to yield positive cash flow overtime.

The award also recognised her unwavering dedication to networking and a strength-based approach that has cultivated a robust network system comprising over 300,000 independent real estate professionals known as PWAN Business Owners (PBOs).

Often described as a woman with a strong sense of optimism and high pain threshold, the award is coming as Jayne has over the years developed the PWAN brand, which she co-founded in 2012 into a multi-billion naira business.

Her passion, expertise and track record lie in innovative strategy and brand building which she passionately passes on by way of teaching and training people, especially on the 5×5 matrix of network marketing.

Over 12 years now, this invention birthed a real estate network marketing company in March 2012 with the pioneer company known as Property World Africa Network (PWAN) HOMES Limited with headquarters at Lekki has made home ownership schemes easy.

Presently there are 33 of such companies known as PWAN EDGE, PWAN Plus, PWAN Premium, PWAN Heritage, PWAN Haven, PWAN Prime, PWAN Legend, PWAN Stars, PWAN Lekki, PWAN Royale, PWAN Pro, PWAN Max, PWAN Advantage, PWAN Bazaar, PWAN Legacy, PWAN Signatures, PWAN Perfection, PWAN Lighthouse, PWAN Harmony, PWAN Diamond, PWAN Atlantic, PWAN Potters, PWAN Cedars, PWAN Towdah, PWAN Champion, PWAN Elite, PWAN Extra, PWAN Excel, PWAN Prestige, PWAN Indigo, PWAN Platinum, PWAN Diaspora, PWAN Precious, PWAN Castle, PWAN Regal and PWAN Sterling.

This networking marketing invention in the real estate sector in 2012 was a bold move “that has no precedence in the history of Business in Nigeria and even in the World,” she said.

Recently, having discovered a gap in the industry, she established her maiden initiative ‘Go Real Pro’ which attracted over 2000 participants across the country attending the conference in Lagos.

The conference afforded her the opportunity to share her success story in a way that empowered other people to embrace entrepreneurship despite any difficulties.

‘Go Real Pro’ With Jayne Onwumere conference which lasted for two days is expected to attract industry experts drawn within the group and across the country.

The Sun Awards 2023, is organised by The Sun Publishing Limited, publishers of Daily Sun, Saturday Sun, Sunday Sun and Sporting Sun.

The award according to The SUN honoured 34 Nigerians, whose excellent achievements stood out last year.

The award saw President, Dangote Group Limited, Alhaji Aliko Dangote; Chairman, Heirs Holdings Limited, Mr Tony Elumelu; and Chairman, Innoson Motor Vehicle Manufacturing Limited, receive the Man of the Year Award.

For Governor of the Year Award, Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State, for restoring public water in Enugu within the stipulated time frame promised after more than 15 years and for efforts at restoring peace and security in the state, among others; Dapo Abiodun of
Ogun State and Muhammad Inuwa
Yahaya of Gombe State, for consolidation in their states.
