Sunnet at NTITA awards, tasks FG on multiple tax

President, Association of Telecoms Companies of Nigeria (ATCON), Olusola Teniola (left); Executive Vice Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Communications Commission, Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta and Managing Director Vodacom Business Nigeria, Lanre Kolade, when he (Kolade) bagged the Industry Personality of the year award, at the Nigeria Technology Innovation and Telecoms Awards, organized by ATCON, held in Lagos.

Sunnet, a system integrator for organisations that use technology to manage and optimise their business won two prestigious award at the first edition of the Nigeria Tech Innovation and Telecoms (NTITA) award organised by the Association of Telecoms Companies of Nigeria, (ATCON).

The two awards, which were given to the company are the ICT Company of the Year and ICT CEO of the Year 2017.Mr. Olagunju Paul, managing director and chief executive officer of the Company, who received the two awards alongside his winning team from Sunnet, well wishers and lovers of the Sunnet brand thanked the organisers of the event for recognising their efforts in the industry.

Elated Paul disclosed in his remark while receiving the award that Sunnet is committed towards adding to the services of its array of clients spread across all sectors of the economy using innovation and cutting-edge technology that will help their business grow beyond bounds.

On the preparation that has gone into winning the award, the excited team leader of Sunnet said that receiving such award requires lots of dedication and efforts towards being the best in service delivery and relationship with customers stressing that Sunnet truly deserve the award because it has always stand unique from its competitors.

The award, which further demonstrates its passion for in technological innovation, creativity and desire to always put her customers first by offering excellence services, puts the brand ahead of others.

According to him, Sunnet is an internationally recognized Information Communication Technology (ICT) service provider that develops integrated, state of the art software solutions and products that are uniquely designed to enhance the growth of businesses in all economic spheres.

He noted that the award, which is result of hard work by the diligent team at Sunnet, is a motivation to work harder saying that over the years, it has evolved into an IT Powerhouse with a focus of enabling businesses through the strategic partnerships with world class organisations.

He added that while not resting on its oars, the bottom line for the brand is the enhancement of African business growth through its uniquely designed products and services saying that currently Sunnet is fully operational in Lagos, Abuja, Port-Harcourt, Accra,Ghana.

Mr. Paul disclosed that Sunnet has successfully deployed its services in Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Benin, Lome, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Burundi, Cameroon and Congo and that the award is a call to look forward to expanding to the other parts of Africa and beyond.

Earlier while speaking on a panel of discussion at the Telecoms Executive Forum organised by ATCON, he called for respite for telecos on the area of multiple taxation saying that there should be synergy between all organs of government on its taxation implementation policy.

He noted that multiple taxation is a high element cost that prevents companies from achieving its full potentials as well as a strain on re-investment adding that government should urgently address the problem to further enhance the growth of the ICT industry.Sunnet recently bagged the ‘Customer Focused Technology Delivery Company Award, 2017’ at the Beacon of ICT Awards held in Lagos.
