CIIN to canvass value creation at education seminar

The Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) is set to treat stakeholders to a wholesome learning experience at its education seminar scheduled to hold between‪ November 7 and 9, 2018‬, in Oyo State.

The seminar, which has been aptly themed: “Increasing Insurance Penetration Through Value Creation”, would have as guest speaker, the Rector of College of Insurance and Financial Management, Dr. Yeside Oyetayo.

It will also have a sterling line up of discussants, including Dr. Rufus Olubunmi Olumide of NEM Insurance Plc; Joseph Oladokun of Mutual Benefit Assurance Plc; Lekan Oguntunde of Sovereign Trust Insurance Plc; and a representative of NAICOM.

The seminar is also scheduled to have in attendance, The Commissioner for Insurance, Alhaji Mohammed Kari; The Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji, in addition to notable government functionaries and top industry professionals.

The Chairman of the Education Committee and council member of CIIN, Sir, M.O Oyegunle, stated that the theme was borne out of the need to intensify the clamor for insurance practitioners to use value as the focal point of their service offerings.

“Insurance companies have to revamp their value proposition and hinge implementation on promoting excellent customer experience. This will greatly improve market penetration and equally increase the number of persons who embrace insurance and have positive assertions.

“In this age where market saturation is prevalent, offering customers the right value proposition is the difference between just surviving or thriving in the Insurance Industry,” he said.

He charged practitioners to ensure attendance and participation to get the full benefits of the seminar.

The education seminar is one of the annual education programmes organised by the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN), the body established by statute to determine the standard of skill and knowledge required for the professional and ethical practice of the business of insurance in Nigeria.
