Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, (FAAN), Saleh Dunoma, an engineer, stated this during his keynote address at the 2015 yearly public lecture organised by the Aeronautical Division of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE).

He commended the engineers for contributing positively to the development of the aviation sector and urged them to adhere strictly to the Public Procurement Act (PPA) so as to safeguard the integrity of the profession.

Dunoma commended the organisers for picking a relevant topic that has stimulated robust debate by the participants. Guest Speaker of the occasion and Director General of the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) Emeka Ezeh, (FNSE), spoke on the topic: “Procurement, Avoiding and Navigating through the Iceberg”.

Ezeh, who was represented by a director from the Bureau implored strict adherence to provisions in the Public Procurement Act. He charged engineers to checkmate corrupt tendencies that could hamper the integrity of the process. Earlier in their separate remarks, the chairman of the occasion, Prince Adelusi Adeluyi, the hosts Ademola Olurunfemi and Group Capt. John Obakpolor, all task engineers to live up to the ethics of the profession.
