Anchor Insurance Limited has begun awareness campaign and fitness walk aimed at keeping its staff physically and mentally sound for improved performance among the industry workforce.

The awareness campaign and fitness exercise kicked-off from the company’s branch office at Obanikoro Bus-Stop, Ikorodu Road, Lagos and terminated at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.

The Managing Director of the underwriting company, Ebose Austin, said the event was organised to keep the staff fit physically and mentally, adding that the exercise will strengthen the body and soul of the staff and make them think well which will translate into enhanced productivity.

He also noted that the exercise will help strengthen the bond amongst members of staff, stating that the exercise has helped unite staff from different departments and branches and boost relationship.

Austin said the event will be organised quarterly, adding that in line with the vision of the new management of the company, staff will continue to work together to make the firm remains, Where Insurance Works.

The company’s chief posited that the company is aiming at playing in tier 1 business class when the Tier-Based Minimum Capital Solvency (TBMCS) commences, adding that the company has over N5 billion in its kitty and assets worth over N20 billion that will qualify it for tier 1.

He said the firm has written business over N3 billion this year compared to the N2 billion written last year and hope to hit N4 billion mark by the end of the year.
