Young, Okoroji, Sowore, others to grace Igelige’s foundation unveiling

A prominent intellectual property rights lawyer, activist and politician, Hon. Rockson Igelige, will, tomorrow, mark his birthday with a lecture and the unveiling of his NGO, Friends of the Creator Foundation (FCF).

A prominent intellectual property rights lawyer, activist and politician, Hon. Rockson Igelige, will, tomorrow, mark his birthday with a lecture and the unveiling of his NGO, Friends of the Creator Foundation (FCF). To deliver the lecture, which will be chaired by Mrs. Ovoke Otolo, is an intellectual property law lecturer at Delta State University (DELSU), Oleh campus, Mr. Ituru Oghenerukevwe Roy. He will speak on the topic ‘Everyman Should Enjoy the Fruits of his Labour,’ with a focus on intellectual property rights advocacy.

Expected to begin at 12noon, the event will hold at R.A. Igelige & Co law office along Odoro Road, Oleh, Isoko South Local Government Area, Delta State.

Also expected to grace the unveiling are notable actor, Mr. Nobert Young, Chairman, Copyright Society of Nigeria and former President of Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN), Chief Tony Okoroji, publisher of Sahara Reporters, Comrade Omoyele Sowore, Chief Joe Arausi, members of the bench as well as top class traditional rulers.

Igelige, also a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who trained as an entertainment lawyer at Westminster, U.K., said the ground-breaking event has been the efforts of a committee of trusted friends and associates, who wish to honour him. Immediate past Chairman of Governing Board, National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru, Jos, Maj. Gen. Paul Ufuoma Omu (rtd), is expected to chair the event.

Students of intellectual property law of Delta State University, Oleh Campus, are also expected to participate, with the foundation poised to award prizes and scholarship to intellectual property law students at the occasion.
