One of the judges of the contest, renowned artist and art educator, Mr. Ibrahim Ganiyu commended Ranona for instituting the contest and encouraged its continuation. He expressed delight at being a part of the event.

He noted, “Events like this should be encouraged and repeated. The level of creativity displayed today is amazing; the theme has been well treated; the event is well organized. I had a lot of fun seeing the wonderful things that children can do when empowered with the right tools. This is a contest that should be held at least twice a year to encourage our children become creative thinkers.”

The winning painting by Chiziteram Onyia depicted a beach at sunset, which the judges described as ‘a beautiful work with good space management, fantastic colour combination, creative, neat with a proper interpretation of the theme.’
