Talent Thrones Show gives voice to young creatives

All is now set for the Talent Thrones Shows (TTS). The first of its kind in Nigeria and in Africa, its inaugural launch season began with a call for submission of video entries from September 28, 2020 to October 11, 2020. Auditions for the show will hold on October 24, 2020.

TTS is a non-profit initiatives and one of the four areas of the L.E.A.D. agenda of the Institutes of Foresight and Leadership (I.F.L). I.F.L. is an international non-profit corporation registered in Alberta, Canada and Nigeria. TTS is led and operated by a volunteer executive director and an all-volunteer team located across Nigeria, Ukraine, Canada, and the United States under the oversight of the I.F.L. Board of Trustees (B.O.T) and in conjunction with its advisory board. It is targeted to discover, mentor, empower, and promote at least 25 young creatives within the age of 18 to 25 yearly.

It is a platform that allows contestants to express themselves artistically. It is also an opportunity to receive feedback and perspectives from experts. More importantly, Foresight and Leadership will mentor the participants in the show for a year after the competition.

According to the organisers, “the post-season mentoring programme initiated by TTS is to achieve the objective of transforming the contestants into positive influencers in the society.”

The organisers also said it also encourages decency, promotes professionalism and grooms participants for artistic excellence.
“TTS is an institute established to focus and give voice to the unknown young creative scattered across Africa, giving them a platform and also nurturing them to become positive influencers in the society. This came as a result of the young talented in the remote villages of Africa who have the right talents and skills that can impact the society but lack the platform to showcase them.

“TTS has a mission to provide a credible platform that empower the talents and promotes their arts in singing, dancing, comedy, monologue, poetry and other genres.”

The organisers believe that Africa needs to focus attention on discovering and developing talents of its young population and empowering them to contribute to national economic development. This cause serves as antidotes for violence, unemployment, radicalisation, irregular migration and drug abuse amongst youths.

Its contestants are to look forward to big names as coaches that will help to unleash their God given talent. These judges vary from different fields of art and they include, Segun Lawal, Shaibu Husseini, Kenny Saint Brown, McAbbey, Sir Emeka Nwokedi, Chigozie Wisdom, Koffi Da Guru, Owen Gee, Ice Nweke, Henry Akubuiro, Lydian John and many others.

In the next five years, it is hoped that the show would have produced and empowered five winners that will serve as Africa model artist-ambassadors in their respective genres.
