Chief Tony Okoroji, the Chairman, Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON), has urged Nigerians to patronise beach concert as a form of relaxation and to ease stress.

Okoroji made the call in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos on Saturday on the sideline of COSON Week.

He said beach concert was for everybody and that individuals, families and love birds could come to the beach and listen to musicians play and have fun.

He added that “you can swim or sit and listen or dance; it is part of relieving stress.

“After a long week of work, persons have to relax and listen to good music.

“It is part of the entertainment we are talking about, so that you enjoy yourself and together with your family or whoever.

“It is very good for health, if you cannot go for jugging, you can come to the beach and dance to unwind.

“It is because people are so choked up on work that many hardly loose up.’’

The COSON chairman said beach concert had also proved to be veritable avenue of discovering artistes as exemplified by then Lekki Sunsplash, a musical competition.

He added that “it is good for people to come out and listen to music and also rest.

“Many people need to lighten up to be able to get themselves back on track for businesses and other things.

“Once you relax your mind, you will be able to think positively.’’
