Oral Literature Conference holds in Ife

Arrangements have reached conclusive stages for the sixth conference of the Nigerian Oral Literature Association (NOLA) holding in Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife from November 13 to 16, 2019.

Professor Helen Yitah of the Department of English, University of Ghana, Legon, and Professor Asabe Kabir-Usman, Department of Modern Languages and Linguistics, Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto, are keynote speakers while Professor Afam Ebeogu of the Department of English, Abia State University, Uturu, Professor Toyin Jegede, Department of English, University of Ibadan and Professor Mabel Evwierhoma, Department of Theatre Arts, University of Abuja are lead paper presenters.

According to the association, there will be elections into virtually all positions, such as President, Vice President 1, Vice President 2, Administrative Secretary, Deputy Administrative Secretary, Treasurer, Financial Secretary, Membership Secretary, Archivist and Deputy Archivist.
