Lagos Art And Fashion Gala Holds December 5

The maiden edition of the Lagos Art and Fashion Gala (LAFGA) will hold on December 5 and 6, 2015 at Muri Okunola Park, Victoria Island, Lagos. Being packaged by the 21st Century Projects, the event is being envisaged as the biggest art exhibition and most avant garde fashion show in Lagos

According to Media Director, 21st Century Projects, Ms. Elohor Freeman, ‘’Lagos Art and Fashion Gala is taking the unconventional approach to provide an atmosphere of freedom which will resonate with the creative spirit of African designers and artists. The event is set to attract participants from Amsterdam, Ivory Coast Togo and London. Besides Art and Fashion, highlights include Coke Studio for young musicians, live music competitions at encouraging your artists and designers as well as seminars and workshops.”

LAFGA is expecting to showcase over 40 young designers and veteran artists like Polly Alakija and Adeola Balogun as well as photographers and sculptors. Polly will run an art class over the two days of the event and several lectures and seminars on art and fashion as part of the schedule which can be downloaded from the event website www.lagosartandfashiongala.com.
