Kalejaiye unveils Undeterred: The Pendulum Swings On
Former Special Adviser (Rural Development) to Lagos State Governor, Adeboye Paul Kalejaiye, has unveiled his autobiography, Undeterred: The Pendulum Swings On, to celebrate his 61st birthday.
Family, friends and associates of the former Southwest Coordinator, National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) and former lecturer, Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH) Ikorodu, attended the event held at the Lagos Country Club.
Reviewing the 168-page book that chronicles the life of the author from birth till date, Dean, School of Transport, Lagos State University, Prof Samuel Odewunmi, commended the tenacity and courage shown by the author in the face of life challenges.
He described Kalejaiye as exceptionally brilliant, diligent and thorough, noting that the book, which is portraiture, has the highest level of fidelity with the characterisation of the subject matter.
Speaking at the event, the author dedicated the book to his political mentor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for identifying and bringing him to the political limelight.
Commenting on his 12- chapter book, which has a foreword by Minister of Works and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Fashola (SAN), Kalejaiye said he was inspired to document events of his life from birth, his growing up years in various police barracks being a police officer’s child, teaching, as well as a political career to the present when he clocked 61 years of age.
He promised to donate some copies to some school libraries, including that of the Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo, where he had his first and degrees, as well as the Lagos State Polytechnic where he was once a lecturer.
The event was graced by distinguished personalities amongst them are captains of industries, politicians, academics and actors.
