Inkblot, FilmOne team up for ‘New Money’

Known for their blockbuster collaborations, producers of The Wedding Party series and My Wife and I, Inkblot Productions and FilmOne Production and Distribution have once again teamed up for another mind-blowing film, New Money.

Known for their blockbuster collaborations, producers of The Wedding Party series and My Wife and I, Inkblot Productions and FilmOne Production and Distribution have once again teamed up for another mind-blowing film, New Money.

The comedy movie tells a story of a struggling young designer, Toun Odumosu (Jemima Osunde), whose life changes after the demise of his absentee tycoon father, (Kalu Ikeagwu), who left her to fill his shoes. And a young girl coming to terms with newfound riches and follows her journey, as she tries to successfully merge her newfound wealth with her old life.

Directed by Tope Oshin (Shuga, Tinsel and Journey to Self) and written by Chinaza Onuzo (The Arbitration, My Wife and I, The Wedding Party 2), New Money boasts a stellar cast led by Kate Henshaw, Jemima Osunde, Blossom Chukwujekwu, Dakore Egbuson, Wale Ojo and singer, Folarin Falana ‘Falz.’ The star-studded film also features Femi Branch, Osas Ighodaro, Wofai Ewa popularly known as Wofaifada, Daniel Etim Effiong, Adeolu Adefarasin, Kalu Ikeagwu and Bikiya Graham-Douglas.

One of the founding partners of Inkblot, Onuzo, said, “As a production company founded with the goal of creating high quality, commercially viable films and television shows for Nigerian and international audiences, we are glad to partner FilmOne on his project, having successfully worked with FilmOne in the past. We knew that they were the right partner to work with to bring this exciting story to the Nigerian audiences.”

New Money will mark the fourth collaboration between these two industry powerhouses and will be released in cinemas across Nigeria on March 23, 2018.
