After months of working on her new materials, award-winning gospel singer Onos Ariyo finally debuted her third album, Songs from the Place of Prayer. Held at the Landmark Events Centre, Oniru, Victoria Island, Lagos, what was planned as an album launch session turned into an inspirational evening of uplifting songs, with notable gospel artistes on parade.

For guests present, it was an opportunity to watch the Delta State native perform songs from her latest album live on stage for the first time. And as a powerful vocalist that she is, Onos nailed it.

Clad in Ayo Van Elmar and Goziri Afrique Couture, Onos who, was recently listed as one of Nigeria’s most inspiring women of 2017 by Leading Ladies Africa and Y Naija magazine, led the audience in sessions of praise and worship, as she performed songs off the new album. Already, singles such as Jehovah Ebenezer, You are wonderful, Oghene me, Call His Name and Have your way are already picking up on air, so, you can imagine the response from the audience, as the singer belted them one after the other.

However, the concert was a perfect opportunity for Onos to serve her newer recordings such as Halleluyah ooh, Hossana, l will bless your name, No one like our God and others. Just as expected, the radiant artiste delighted the audience with her soulful and electrifying performance, as she sang in both English and native languages.

“It is my earnest desire that these songs will bring healing, deliverance, transformation to your homes, families, job, business and everything your hand finds to do in Jesus Name,” she prayed.

Speaking at the event, Pastor (Mrs.) Ifeanyi Adefarasin of House On The Rock, who present to show support for Onos, a lead vocalist and psalmist in the church’s Lagos Metropolitan Gospel Choir, said, “We are very proud of you and love you Onos,” adding, “as deep calls to deep, I believe that the songs from the depth of her intimacy with the Father will bring you close to Him as well.”

Lending their voices in worship on the night were Olumide Iyun, Tim Godfrey, Sammie Okposo, Freke Omoh, Ayo Vincent, Soulchy and Preye Odede, while celebrities such as Lolo of Wazobia FM, Frank Edwards, Ufoma McDermott, Segun Obe, Diekko, Nosa, Emma oh my God, Chidinma ‘Chee’, Nikki Laoye and Comedian Ushbebe also graced the occasion.
