Forme Femineé Art Exhibition (2019): Re-expressing the Feminine Form

Forme Feminee is an attempt to re-express the Feminine form from within diverse perceptions and capabilities of Nigerian artists.

Forme Femineé is an attempt to re-express the Feminine form from within diverse perceptions and capabilities of Nigerian artists.
The theme seeks to recalibrate the traditional art methods that objectify the female form by de-emphasizing elemental sexuality in a medium which expresses its beauty in every light presentable.

Mirroring the importance of the female gender; Forme Femineé is a pedestal to present a sense of female-inspired artistic creativity and offering to the discerning public.

Featuring classic works of prominent female artists; Chief (Mrs) Nike Okundaye, Millicent Osunbor, alongside promising and talented artists such as Temmie Ovwasa, Chinwe Chigbu, Hafsat San Seni and Magret C.Nze

With supporting works from male artists; Olusegun Adejumo, Tony Gomez, Akanimoh Umoh, Awarun Adeshope, Akinnagbe Shope and Tebi Dod.

In more than a thousand brush strokes of paint, Forme Feminee implores the audience to look at the feminine form with new eyes and open minds.
Forme Femineé opens April 20th,2019 by 4pm at Thought Pyramid Art Centre, 96 Norman Williams, Ikoyi. The exhibition featuring Paintings and Photographs will be on display till 27th of April, 2019.
