Falz speaks on journey from New Money to Quam’s Money
The upcoming Inkblot Productions film, ‘Quam’s Money,’ will see Folarin Falana, “Falz” l return to the role that won him an Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice award in 2018. Falz played the role of Quam aka Sweet Boy Q.
Written by Chinaza Onuzo (co-founder of Inkblot) and directed by Kayode Kasum (Sugar Rush), ‘Quam’s Money’ is the sequel to the 2018 comedy-drama, ‘New Money,’ which tells the story of Toun, a fashion designer whose biological father dies and bequeaths her his multi-billion dollar empire. Quam played by Falz for the first time as a supporting character in that movie was such a fan favourite that he was upgraded to main character status for the sequel.
Falz, whose film production company, House 21, is producing the film alongside Inkblot Productions and FilmOne, is excited to be playing Quam again. “This is my first time playing the lead role in any film and it feels nice,” Falz said. “I’m very excited that this is the character I got because Quam is someone I really enjoy being and I’m excited to bring him back to life for a new adventure.”
‘Quam’s Money’ follows the exploits of Quam as he navigates his newfound wealth after going from being a security guard to a multimillionaire overnight. The film will be available in cinemas nationwide from the 11th of December 2020.
