COVID-19 taught us important lesson in kindness — Obisgallery

If there is any important lesson for humans to take away from the COVID-19 challenge, it is that a little bit of kindness can help our collective good.

If there is any important lesson for humans to take away from the COVID-19 challenge, it is that a little bit of kindness can help our collective good. This is the gospel being preached by popular jeweler Efobi Obiajulu, CEO of ObisGallery.

Obiajulu, made this assertion noting that: “We did not have to wait till there is a catastrophe before we start helping the needy around us.”

He further stated: “When you are your Brother’s Keeper, you are also indirectly helping yourself. No reasonable human being would go to bed comfortably while his neighbour is out there hungry in the night.”

Obisgallery, as he is also often called by friends and customers, is also renowned for his philanthropic donations to orphanages. He averred: “Long before the advent of COVID-19, due to my upbringing, I have learnt the importance of helping the less privileged and I take it as a duty to cater to the needs of orphans as much as the Lord helps me.”

Helping the needy, he said, is not only a virtue, “it is a duty we all owe humanity.”

Obisgallery’s reputation as a reputable purveyor of rare and unique gold, silver and diamond jewelry has been soaring since the past two years. Obiajulu’s specialty in ready-made premium jewelry and custom jewelry such as name or logo pendant became legendary when it came to light that he was behind the bling of a range of celebrities including musician Naira Marley and Big Brother Naija (BBN)’s Tacha.

As the world slowly recovers from the blight of coronavirus, he urged society not to forget the importance of continuing to help its vulnerable and less privileged members. “A lot of businesses were lost and millions of Nigerians now don’t have a means of livelihood,” he observed and urged: “Government and well-to-do citizens should try to lift as many as possible from the pit of poverty.”
