After a successful production of five plays, namely, Loud Whispers, Isale Eko, Oba Esugbayi, 3some and Emotan, Joseph Edgar’s Duke of Shomolu Productions, in partnership with the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library Foundation, is set for the performances of the anticipated stage play, Aremu.

The command performance of the play, which is written and directed by Professor Ahmed Yerima will hold today at the main auditorium of the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library Abeokuta.

According to Edgar, who doubles as the Executive Producer, Aremu has been produced to celebrate the life and times of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo GCFR, whose life continues to be a strong source of inspiration for all Africans.

“The play is a must watch and would without doubt be one of the most celebrated stories ever played,” Edgar said.

The play, after its showing in Abeokuta, will move to Lagos this Easter holidays for an 18 days showing. Yemi Shodimu, Kemi Bikersteth, Chantal Edgar and a host of others are all part of this exciting line up of cast for the production.
