Wragby Business Solutions appoints Alarape as MD/CEO

Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Company, Wragby Business Solutions and Technology Limited, in a strategic business decision by the Board of Directors, has approved the appointment of Dr Yomi Alarape, as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective January 1st, 2021.

According to the Chairman, Remi Adegboyega, the new CEO-designate would replace the pioneer MD/CEO, Olugbenga Iluyemi, whom he thanked and commended for his significant contributions to the growth and development of the company.

Adegboyega noted that Wragby has become a proven industry leader in ICT, with expertise in cloud application and infrastructure, modern work and security, data for business transformation, artificial intelligence, and business solutions in West Africa over the past six years.
He said, “Our company was the Microsoft Partner Global Award finalist in 2017, 2018, and 2019 for our work in Enterprise Mobility & Security, Cloud Technology, and Application Innovation.”

The Chairman added that Wragby was voted Microsoft Country Partner of the year in 2019 and 2020, stressing that “these awards affirm our dedication to transforming businesses and institutions via innovation and making the world a better place through technology – we are living the vision already. This new appointment initiates a greater dimension of growth and innovation in the industry to serve the current and future needs of our Clients businesses and institutions.”

Alarape, who takes over the mantle of leadership, next year, is currently the Executive Director.

He is a graduate of Electrical Engineering, with an MBA and Doctorate Degree in Business Administration (DBA) from the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom.

He had successfully led a large international telecommunications Information Systems and Security startup in the Middle East (MTN), where he thrived immensely in global business management.

As the Business Group Director for Cloud & Enterprise for Microsoft across 57 countries in Middle East and Africa, he led Microsoft cloud business penetration and growth in Africa, with over 150% year-on-year growth for almost a decade.

He is happily married with children and currently lectures (Business Leadership, Digital Transformation, Inclusive Innovation and Entrepreneurship) at Maastricht School of Management (MSM), The Netherlands, as an Adjunct Professor.
