Women in Successful Careers (WISCAR), a high level and structured mentoring programme for young professional women, has collaborated with McKinsey to develop and mentor the next generation of women leaders (NGWL) at the speed mentoring event.

The aim of the partnership is to empower and develop women leaders to contribute to the development and growth of Nigeria.

The NGWL event which is scheduled to hold on Friday 6th April 2018 aims to target talented women who are students or experienced professionals in diverse career lines across Nigeria, who are interested in developing their leadership potential through mentorship.

This platform will provide a unique opportunity for young career women to meet high-profile female executives from the rich WISCAR network, who will provide strategic career advice, inspiration, guidance and support to help them navigate their career pathways, achieve their objectives and nurture their dreams.

Speaking on the collaboration, founder of WISCAR Amina Ayagbola said, “In a developing country like Nigeria, the larger society itself is struggling to cope with enormous socio-economic challenges which affect women more severely and reduce their ability to enjoy equal opportunities for advancement.

I am glad to partner with Mckinsey on the NGWL Speed Mentoring event, which serves as a platform to help alleviate these challenges affecting women in Nigeria, and help equip them with the required skills they need to take on the future, through mentorships.”

According to the Engagement Manager, McKinsey, Kemi Onabanjo, “We passionately believe in developing outstanding female leaders. We do so every day, internally and with our clients.
