Society for Corporate Governance Nigeria announces changes

The Society for Corporate Governance Nigeria (SCGN) has announced changes on its board. A statement by SCGN said Pascal Dozie has been named the President. He replaces Chief Olusegun Osunkeye, who has served out his tenure.

The Society for Corporate Governance Nigeria (SCGN) has announced changes on its board. A statement by SCGN said Pascal Dozie has been named the President. He replaces Chief Olusegun Osunkeye, who has served out his tenure.

Mrs Hilda Nkor and Mrs Chioma Mordi are now the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer of the Society respectively. Dozie holds a B.Sc. in Economics from the London School of Economics and a M.Sc. in Business Administration from City University, London. He is the founder and former Chairman of Diamond Bank Plc. He is currently the President, Conseil d’ Administration of Diamond Bank Du Benin and MTN Nigeria.

Dozie is the Co-Founder, Partner and Non-Executive Partner at African Capital Alliance. Dozie has been a key contributor to the development of the Nigerian economy both in the government and the private sector.

He served as the Chairman of Nigerian Economic Summit Group and on the Lagos Business School Advisory Board. Dozie serves as a Non Executive Director of Gulf of Guinea Energy Limited. He serves as a Member of Advisory Board at Kaizen Venture Partners.

Dozie was a Member of Vision 2010 Council. He served as the President of the Nigerian Stock Exchange. He was a Council Member of the Nigerian Stock Exchange. He is the Recipient of National Award of Officer of the Order of the Niger. Dozie holds Honorary Doctorate degrees in Law, Management Technology and Business Administration from three Universities.

Mrs Nkor has over 17 years working experience in the health, banking and corporate sectors of the economy as well as in public, and private and not-for-profit organisations. She holds a B.Sc. in Sociology from Abia State University.

She worked as an Administrator at Sovereign Flame Mission, a faith-based NGO, from where she joined SCGN in September 2008 as a Programme Coordinator.

Mrs. Mordi is a graduate of Social Statistics from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife; and has attended different management courses in some of the country’s prestigious institutions. She is an Associate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) and Alumnus of the Lagos Business School (LBS).
