Persons with disability deny leadership dissolution
The Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities (JONAPWAD), has denied report that its national leadership headed by Mrs Ekaette Judith, has been dissolved.The Chairman of States Chairmen Forum Abdullahi Usman, who disclosed this in Kebbi, stated that none of the 36 states chairmen were among the meeting where the purported removal of the Executive members was done.
“People’s should disregard that communique, we are not among and even do it was so we asked them they should waite until their tenure elapsed, people should follow due process by following our constitution,” he said.
He said further that actually the election was conducted on 14-16 of April 2014 in Lokoja, Kogi State, which the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs inaugurated them on August 2014, but despite that people should wait and follow due process before causing confusion within the union.
“People’s should please stop bringing disunity among the members, we are one and we are not among those that hold the meeting, we want peace and unity,” he said.He then urge the executive member to disregard the report saying it was false and baseless, and their signatures were forged?
